First pregnancy worries

Hi, I’m confused about a few things as this is my first pregnancy and as I suffer anxiety a lot of things are going through my head, I am struggling to get a gp appointment but wonder if I have cause for concern, so I’m 3 weeks pregnant (5 according to the doctor) I have had a few headaches and been feeling a little sick but not been sick, I’m very tired and have been experiencing cramps that felt like period pain but now are more frequent and severe they are in my lower belly top of my bikini line both sides (but more frequent on the right) and in my groin, they range from a dull ache to a cramp to an electric shock and now my kidneys are giving me hell, should I be concerned or worried? There is no bleeding but tender breasts as of today, is this normal? Thanks for any advice it’s very appreciated

All sounds typical of pregnancy except “kidneys giving you hell” and “severe pain” in abdomen. You could have a kidney or urine infection.

Another vote for seeing the GP to rule out a kidney or UTI. Did you manage to see a GP today?

All of the rest sounds pretty normal. Take a vitamin and mineral supplement aimed at PG women and get sone early nights to help you deal with the tiredness. Make sure you eat regularly and stay hydrated. Ginger biscuits can help with the nausea.

If you are particularly prone to anxiety, I’d mention this to the GP. You can do a few things to help yourself too. Try joining a PG Yoga class nearby and Aquafit if they do it near to you.

Only reading books written by parents and which are evidence based should help too.

Have you joined to MN Antenatal Club for the month you are due yet too? Chatting to other MNers gives you an idea of what symptoms you are having which are normal and what needs checking out.

Hi I’m 6 weeks pregnant and today had my first bleed, it was pale pink and only when wiping, then 2 hours later had blood stains in my underwear and passed a nail sized dark red/black spongy clot, I rang the gp who sent me to a&e they said it’s to early to scan so just to rest and keep a check, should I be concerned this is a m/c?
