Is anyone from Southampton?

I have been living in Southampton for a year now and I have a 15 month old son,I am struggling to socialise as I dont really know anyone down here.. I really want to become more social and take my boy to groups and stuff but I’m not 100% cause I have mental health issues so I find it even hard to make friends and get out etc. Just wanted to know if there was anyone around my area that could point me in any direction to friendly playgroups for mum and child that are not very clicky and bitchy so I can have abit more of a social life for myself and my son :) thanks for reading x

Hello and welcome to MN

I’m not from Southampton but my advice would be to try a few different playgroups, it took going to a few before I found one were I felt comfortable.

You could try asking in MN Local too and I’ve heard the Mush App is good

Hi SadiFay,

I don't have little ones which are the same age as you, but I can recommend a very friendly toddler group. It's called Tots and Teapots and it meets at Burgess Road Library (near the Flowers estate), 9.45-11.15am on Thursday mornings. Is that anywhere near you?
