Hi this is guna sound silly but I noticed DD UP DH are used often in these threads..... what do they mean?

Dear is the first D.

So DD is Dear Daughter
DP partner
DH husband etc

There’s a list on here somewhere but cannot remember where. It’ll come up if you google Mumsnet acronyms or something.

It is in the sense it’s part of the cycle!

It is odd, I dislike the D in front of things as it feels cringingly twee but I do it as shorthand now knowing people get it.

Someone had been reading mumsnet aloud to her husband for ages, and it turned out that all along he thought DH stood for Dick Head not Dear Husband!
