Relocating

Hi I’m new here .. my husband and 2 kids moved to Scotland from USA about 8 months ago but we would love to move to Newcastle. We will be visiting over the next few weekends to look at house- where is the best place live? Durham is on the top of our list at the moment. But would be great to get some more advice and places to look at from people from Newcastle!
