If anyone is facing the same problem then I would be greatfull to know what will be the best solution.
My husband and I along with our 1yr old are renting a private tenant room for the past 7months now. And suddenly, our tenant gives us 6 weeks verbal notice (until 20th July) to move us out saying that the landlord doesn’t accepts children’s anymore as she will start house renovation soon. Therefore, we informed the local council about making us homeless and we were advised to get a letter from the tenant and tenancy agreement which he refused to provide. Later, we had a word with the landlord she said she as well cannot provide us the document instead she can keep us for another three months so we can look for other accommodation. We are been looking for properties and it’s difficult to find one as per our budget and but most of them don’t keep children and no dss. And today 24th july, the tenant informed us the that someone will come to see your room and we have to get out ASAP. He says he doesn’t care if we inform the council or whoever we need to get out. We are so worried and helpless and do not know what to do. Please advise. Thanks

I've no advice but this situation sounds terrible.
Not sure why they cannot provide you with a letter to say you are being evicted. Do you have a contract with them? How many other people live at this property and are they being evicted too (if the house is being renovated?). It all sounds very odd. Hope someone a lot more knowledgeable comes along with some good advice soon OP Thanks

Hello. Probably a well trod path, but any recommendations for a good divorce lawyer in Greater London area. Been through 3 so far. All promise the world and fall for the old 'never received the papers' line. Has anyone sny experience of their STBx playing the system in this way. Sols appear spineless. Wondering about serving papers by private investigator.
