Hi anyone been in such situation? I have to move out with my 6y boy on the 21st June to a different county. But we still waiting for guarantor signature. We found an apartment but as we’re not registered there yet so I can’t register my boy for schools either. Does anyone know if that’s ok if my child will be out of school till we find a new one when we move?

It is what it is, but it would be worth you having a conversation with the Schools admissions tam in your new local authority and having that conversation with them.

Hi
Possibly relocating to Manchester any help and advice on areas near Middleton that are good for the family? Have a budget for rent of around 1000 per month. Be as honest as you want regarding areas. Needs to be by a good junior school
Yours hopefully

On our knees financially need to move due to housing crisis.

My name is Jo and I’m married to Mike who is a web designer, unfortunately his salary has gone down by two thirds over the years and we are now stuck in a very expensive let in Kingston Upon Thames on housing benefit which we can’t sustain. We are looking to rent of perhaps one day buy outside London and we are looking at any cities which are lovely but not London. We are looking for a city with good schools, low crime, sociable and which doesn’t feel too different from London. We like Oxford and Bedfordshire but they are both two expensive for us. We have really hit the housing crisis with redundancy that’s hit us both. We have a 14 year old son whose been really traumatised because we lost our beautiful home in Bedfordshire. I’m particularly keen to hear from mums in Sheffield, Manchester and Kingston where I live now.

I’m also looking to hear from mums who live in Kingston and other towns whose husbands work and who are also finding themselves struggling or near homeless with their families.
