Hi - new to the site and wondering whether I'm in the wrong place...children in twenties... ???

Nope, everyone is welcome! There are parents and grandparents on here, plus women (and men!) who don't have any children at all.

Hello!
I am another older mum from Albuquerque, NM USA
My own grandmother was born in Northern England though...
I am going through some upsetting situations and that is how I found you.
Thank u so much!

Welcome to MN @Negcap. I don't have children at all but I love MN Grin. There are mums of all ages and lots of people with adult children here.

Hi I’m new on this site and I’m a grum (a Gran who has become a mum again). My daughter died 3 years ago and my husband and I are guardians,of,our grandchildren aged 12 and 14. Bringing children up in the world where social media is so prevalent is awful, my youngest would have been 33 this year so times have changed greatly.

ScreamingValenta · 21/05/2018 15:05

Hello @Ladyeric. I've never heard the expression 'Grum' before - it's brilliant. I'm so sorry to hear your daughter died. It must be very challenging bringing up children around so much social media influence.

I have a daughter 50 and another 47. If you feel old; imagine how I feel Smile. I joined because there was a thread concerning the show "Billions" which I feel is way beyond my head; and others felt confused as well. So it made me feel that I wasn't alone. That's it for now.

I'm older! I'm 47. I have a 28-yr-old, an almost 27-year-old and a 14-year-old. I'm also a very active grandmother to my 5 grands.
who are ages 7 to 6 months. I love staying up to date on kids movies, books, crafts, advice etc.
