Long time lurker, first time poster, long post so apologies in advance.
I'm on the holiday of a lifetime with two of my five kids. Older three didn't come first variety of reasons: 1) we don't get on well and can maybe manage an hour or two a week together. 2) lives in another country & 3) has learning disabilities and doesn't travel well.
Been away for three weeks of a 35 day break. Never done anything like this before, got a nice windfall last year, so paid a few bills and booked this trip (though still on a budget!)
#1 DC has been ill while I've been away. This apparently my fault. If I love DC, I wouldn't have gone away.
I've been told there is no secondary school place for DC who is with me.
I've had notification that I have to undergo an assessment to determine if I'm still disabled (amputee), may lose motability car.
ExH has decided to now demand contact with kids despite making little/no effort in the weeks running up to the holiday. (WiFi patchy at best and next to no mobile signal).
Despite all this, having an amazing time but can't help wondering if I should have just stayed at home. Miserable bugger that I am.
