Morning all we are seeking help as we are desperately wanting a child but odds are not in our favour 😣

Another newbie here, feel like I've done an assault course getting logged in on the app

julesmason · 20/03/2018 16:14

Enjoying exploring the site

KaylaTheEagle · 20/03/2018 22:12

Would love to know if there are others out there who understand some of my concerns/worries etc and may even be able to help? Hoping to find that extra bit of courage to put it out there x

Naomi00 · 21/03/2018 04:16

Hiya x

I’m new here. Hoping to explore and learn new things on here

ReenyBreen · 22/03/2018 08:43

Hi there, I am new to Mumsnet and doing a test post so I can do it properly!
I'm Irish with a 2-year old called Bella.
I have designed a new breastfeeding product called BellaMoon. I will post it in the products section later.
Looking forward to interacting with everyone on here.
Irene

newby here too :) still trying to figure out the site

KirstenRaymonde · 24/03/2018 00:02

Welcome all! I’ve been around a long time, there’s a lot of variety here, dip in wherever you can and read lots to find your feet. Worth clicking on the ‘active threads’ to see what’s currently being posted in.

Hi! I am new here...sharing a concern with you....We are considering a move back to Glasgow from India. My daughter who is going to be 15 in June will start S4 there. She had done her P1and P2 in Glasgow before we moved back to India in 2010.
She is a bright and quiet child. Plays classical Piano and also is good at swimming and Taekwondo. She has a flair for writing and painting.

What are the possibilities to get admission in a good state school in S4? We will plan to rent an accommodation in a good school catchment area.

Thanks very much.

Just so you know, if you want answers to questions, you need to start new posts in the right sections (like conception or education, or just the catch-all "chat").

People rarely read past OPs to get the idea of a thread so if you've posted a question at the end, no one will notice.

thunderingnomad · 26/03/2018 00:40

dekfiji thanks for pointing that out. I'm new here too and trying to find my way around - there seems to be a lot on offer!

I'm not a Mum as I've been unable to have kids (no idea until we tried and nothing worked). I have furry babies instead so all my kids have paws Grin

PositivelyPERF · 26/03/2018 00:51

Welcome one and all. It’s an amazing place full of wonderful people, peculiar people and a few arses thrown in for good measure. The chat and AIBU threads are amongst the most popular. Just a word of warning about AIBU, I would recommend reading a lot of the threads, before deciding if you’re brave enough to post in AIBU, because it’s very robust you might get your arse handed to you. We have people from all sorts of backgrounds and many of them don’t have children, so don’t worry about that.

I would hold back on jumping in with a strong opinion until you get the feel of a thread. I’m an opinionated git and have landed myself in verbal hot water a few times. Don’t let strong differences of opinions scare you away, as you will gain so much from being here. You can’t personally attack a poster but you can swear like a fucking trooper.

Have fun.

Hi all. Mum of two, living in Cornwall and we're 6weeks pregnant. Have already found MN useful as I went down with the s&d bug last night and needed reassurance.

New to this, thought it would be a good place to ask questions! Also how do you add a photo to a post? Thanks!

Hi everyone. New to mumsnet and first time mum to be.

Initial query for you if anyone can help... what do all these shorthand things means?! E.g. DC, SP DD, DF... is there a guide somewhere that I am missing? 🤣
