Hi so I’m in a bit of a mess I was claiming tax credits to help towards childcare and last year I became entitled to free 15 hours I thought this was because I was in receipt of tax credits so they would of been notified therefore I didn’t report a change in circumstances, when my yearly renew came through in April apart from the free hours nothing had changed I didn’t read it properly (my own fault I know) so clicked no change in circumstances, I’ve received a letter from HMRC investigating my childcare I’ve sent all my bank statements up to last year but I’m terrified incase they prosecute me for fraud, I know I’ve been stupid but this was 100% a mistake not an intention to commit fraud :(
