Hello Mumsnetters. I've been reading threads and using fab advice for a while so I took the plunge and joined. Am an older mum (58) and my son has just started uni. I took early retirement from teaching (German) and am loving gardening, needlework and decorating. Enjoy reading - absolutely anything.

Nutella! - I regard it as the devils work but a friend defends it. Is it OK to put in packed lunch sandwiches?

Hey Sniffer,I’m much the same.been reading for ages but have signed up today .I took a redundancy 3 years ago and have had a a few varied jobs since then but have now settled down to working two part time jobs which are quite flexible.. My daughter is in her 30’s and lives over two hour drive away from me so I do not get to see her as much as I would like.I have a 12 month old nephew who I look after occasionally and absolutely love it.Such a difference looking after a child without the pressure of running home and working.I can just focus on him. The biggest thing I find is my lack of flexibility ie getting up and down from the floor if playing with him and also the strain on my back!

Hello all. Am new here. Been a casual observer for a little while so thought I would take the plunge. Have a 3 yo DD and a second arriving any day now (don’t know the make and model). Hope to get lots of useful info and share some of my experiences also.

Hi
I'm also new. I have 2.5 year old boy and a 7 week old girl. Desperate for advice about the terrible two's, so thought I would join.

Hi everyone 😁 I’m also new having dipped in a few times before. Full-time work in IT with international company, 2 grown-up kids of 27 ( DD) and 23 (DS) and DH considering early retirement atm (I have a list of jobs for him😉 to keep busy if/when he takes that step)
