Bump?

Fairly new to mumsnet and just getting use to the language shortcuts. What does bump mean?

Usually bump means someone is posting a 'blank' message to get the thread back on the top of the list of threads.

unless there referring to a pregnancy bump then its when you want to make the thread higher in the listing because it shows new activity even though that activity is just someone saying Bump which basically means i have nothing to say but thread/post is getting old so needs to go back to top of thread page so people can see it

Oh, thank you. That makes sense. I was trying to think of words beginning with bump.
