one step test .. false positive ?

hi all.

I did a one step test last night and got a very faint positive . however did a first response this morning and it was negative :( anybody else in this situation ?

I Never had a false positive only ever heard of a false negative. I'd wait another day and take another test. How many days are you past your period? If it's early on some tests can't pick up pregnancy hormones

Yes, I've had really really bad indents for OneStep before, which is why I don't use their HPTs - their OPKs seem to work okay though! How many DPO are you @ffion1991 ?
