New and need help! Mirena could problems

Hi all, I am new to mumsnet.im 31 and I need your help! I had Mirena coil 3 years ago after my second child. It’s been brilliant after the first 6 months of me feeling bonkers. I have continued to have regular light periods throughout which I can cope with. However..... I haven’t had one for around 6weeks (this is a guess but I think I’m accurate). Suddenly over the past few weeks iv has sickness feeling (my girls have been poorly so at first I put it down to that).Tuesday I had really bad cramping in my stomach but not sure why? It even hurt to walk! Then I realised I haven’t had a my regular for a while. I did a test on Friday And a faint line come up. I also did another one and nothing came up. Since this I have done three more which have all been negative, however I have symptoms, feeling sick, bloated tummy, tired, funny tastes, tender boobs. As far as I am aware my coil hasn’t moved and it definatley still there! I have no idea if I am or not. Has anyone else experienced this? Could I be pregnant? Could it be phantom? Could I be having a massive hormaonal change? Please help!

Can you feel the strings? I didn't get periods with my mirena and had times I thought i might be pregnant but wasn't

I have a friend who got pregnant with a Mirena .... at least, the coil was never found, but she did have one in (she thought) when she fell prevent.

You can get ectopic pregnancies with a Mirena so tbh I'd book a GP appointment and get it checked.

Thankyou all, I have docs appointment today! Hopefully they will sort me out. Another test done saying negative! Think I need a blood test, something isn’t right. Still have symptoms.

What did Doc say?

Hi all, went to docs earlier, had a blood test. She said if I call back tomorrow after 12 she will look on the system for my results. Still a waiting game. I feel better since seeing her though. I have a MRI scan on Wednesday so hopefully my results will definatley be back 😀

Relief for me this afternoon. We decided if I was pregnant then that is what was meant to be.. however after a conversation with my GP I am pleased to say that I do not have a Tiddler in my tummy. The relief for me and my husband is massive. We have two healthy happy girls and had deceived we didn’t want anymore. Thanks for you help ladies!

So pleased for you. Nothing like a pregnancy scare for crystallising you brain that your family is complete! (though I feel awful writing this for all those who can’t get pregnant and want to)

It must be awful to want a baby and be unable to have one. It’s not the same but I miscarried 9 years ago. We were getting married the month after the baby was due. The baby wasn’t planned but after a few days of getting over the shock we were happy. However we got to the 12 week scam and the baby’s heartbeat had stopped a few weeks earlier. I have to go through a medicated induced mini labour which was awful. I really wanted a baby after this again but my husband didn’t as we were getting married. When we were finally married he wanted to wait another 12 months which we did. I have never felt such sadness and pain of being pregnant, miscarrying and then been unable to have one as my fiancé didn’t want at that time. 9 years on we have two lovely girls age 7&3. I do know that if it’s not right for both of us though it wouldn’t have worked. It drives me mad to see people who have babies and for whatever reason can’t/don’t look after them when there are so many people in the world that want nothing but to have a child/children x
