Hi I'm new to Mums net and looking for help and advice. My husband and I have been ttc for over 2 yrs with no joy. All tests have come back "normal". My husband has now been diagnosed with underactive thyroid that can affect fertility. We are too old for IVF and can't afford it privately. Can anyone offer us hope or advice on how we can improve our chances of getting pregnant?

Hello everyone. I'm new here. My story is very sad. I was taken away from my parents when I was 7 years old to live in different country. From Africa to the UK. I was taken by an uncle wanting to give me a better life with more opportunities. I am now 33 years. I lived my life Terribly missing my parents and family. My uncle would not allow me contact with my African family saying it would distract me. It rather left me terribly emotionally harmed and not very capable with life. I am now estranged from my natural family and became very lonely. I thought if I got married I would feel better so I rushed into a relationship with someone and had two kids with him. He realised how emotionally unstable i was and took me to court to take my children away from me. He won the case and moved my children to Australia where he is from. I am terribly sad. I feel that I had suffered enough as a kid being cut off from my family. And now iv also been made childless. What do I do. I am so devastated. Please offer me some advice.

Hi, newbie looking for advice Smile
I had my normal AF 5th of Aug, have had pregnancy symptoms for the last 3 weeks, i had a 3 day bleed on 1st Sept (expected due date for af) but it was unlike my normal AF is is usually 5 days, quite heavy, dark red and with loads of cramps. The 3 day bleed was light, and light red with v little cramps. Next af is due in 7 days. Currently having a few pregnancy symptoms.
Thanks in advance

Hi I am new here and I joined yeaterday.

I have Mumsnet threads before but didn't join up straight away, some of the threads have had me in stitches, some have made me angry (if I've experienced bad behaviour re thread) and some have made me indifferent.

I really struggling with the abbreviations, AIBU for one, anybody?

Much appreciated, sc x

AIBU - thank you, never have I seen so so many abbreviations on a forum before!!

Yes I want UKP shut or at least moderated far better, its the moderator himself that seems to have the biggest problem with us WGs, he has written a book, 'Not a Neanderthal but never a fluffy', or something along those lines!! I may buy this but I'm pretty sure it will make me feel angry.

Hi all

I am new here and live in Bristol. I am thinking of starting up a new business. I am currently a registered do walker and now want to branch out into cleaning. Any advice? I have had leaflets and business cards printed. X

Scotschic · 28/09/2017 23:46

Sharpek

How much cash do you have to start a business may I ask? or just a ball park, lol x

Sharpek · 29/09/2017 08:22

Hiya.
For my dog walking business hardly anything apart from the monthly insurance and outlay of business cards and flyers. I am hoping to invest in a van at some point. For Cleaning business It will be more as have to buy all my own cleaning products Hoover etc. Just bought a carpet cleaner. Again I have paid out for business cards and flyers x
