Sex after birth

Hi all, this is embarrassing but I am reluctant to go to the doctors. On new years day I had a baby via forceps which led to a 3B tear, i was stitched up and was fine after 6 weeks. I didn't have sex with my partner until my daughter was 3 months old and when we did it, it took about 15 min's for his penis to insert me, I thought this was because it was the first time after birth but it's now been 7 months since the birth and it is just the same. There is no pain after the penis is in but it hurts a lot getting it in. Has anyone else had this and what was the reason? Thanks in advance

Do you use lube?

Has it maybe been stitched up too tightly? I would get it looked at to check all has healed up as it should

Yes we use lube which helps but not much & they checked to see if I was too tight a week after the birth and they said I was OK. I'm just fed up of doctors prodding and poking all the time.

I'd see the GP if you haven't been seen since a week post birth.

It wouldn't have healed much after 1 week. It could be tight scar tissue or just too tight in general. Best to get it checked out

I had a forceps delivery end of May and had sex after 6 weeks...It was very tight too but it has improved a lot since. I was like you fed up of being poked by doctors and nurses and did not want to go for a check up again. They did post labour check, but at that they only gave me a presc for pill...asked how things were...nothing much...I was sort of glad n a way and glad that things below improved, but I still will go to see gyno (maybe privately) and suggest you do the same, esp if you plan on another baby and want to keep on top of your health in general...
