Finally joined after getting advice on here since my 4 year old daughter was born. She has autism and sensory processing disorder so find the special needs section brilliant for help and advice or even just a friendly chat when life gets stressfull.

I'm new on here too. I have 2 sons of 3 & 6. They're not special needs but my youngest has acute asthma and my eldest soils himself alot despite laxative meds etc & huge efforts at home and school. I worry he'll never be able to manage his own bowel movements whereas his younger brother had no issues with his toiletting. I wonder how common this is? It hasn't happened because of lax potty training, we really have tried it all including hospital enemas. He's highly sensitive and hates the attention it brings and tries to hide it and gets distressed.
