Hi there, I need help. I'm only 9 weeks pregnant but my sickness level is over the moon. I'm big on nausea and having said I suffer from major setbacks with heahaches and sore eyes when in direct sunlight or even when someone turns the lights on in the house. I just have one question, I took paracetamol 500mg for the first time after searching if it's safe and after giving it a try I vomited all of my dinner and lunch out just 5 secs after taking a tablet. Please if anyone knows how to help me get past this phase of being sick I'm all ears. Really need the help cheers

You need to go and see your GP asap. Paracetamol is ok to take in pregnancy but shouldn't cause vomiting. It might be a coincidence. Your symptons need to checked by a GP. Are you keeping fluids and food down generally?

I was hospitalised in my last pregnancy for severe morning sickness and prescribed cyclizine (sp?) which helped to stop the vomiting. There are various treatments for morning sickness ranging from natural to OTC to PX. You need to discuss with your GP. Migranes can also be caused by the hormones pregnancy produces.

oh Thank you! I will do that now. I was a little confused as to why paracetamol would cause my vomitting. Thank you
