Bigamy

My husband (going through a divorce with me but it's not been finalised)has just married another women 2 days ago. I know that it's bigamy but is his other marriage void by law? Can you be married to 2 people in England at the same time? Would he actually have to marry her again once divorced from me? We still have joint finances, mortgage etc

It's illegal, I think that it does make his new marriage void. Why couldn't he wait until you're divorce was finalised? He could get into a fair bit of trouble for that!
