Hi does anybody know if ovulation sticks work like a pregnancy stick I've ran out of pregnancy strips until Monday and wondered if an ovulation stick works instead for now xx

It might be too early to test, maybe ring your doctors and see if they will take a blood test to see if you are pregnant

If it's too early to test, your doctor will just tell you to wait and take a urine test. A blood test is totally unnecessary.
Op you need a proper pregnancy test not an ovulation test. When was your period due?

I've done the pregnancy strips but they only came up with faint lines as u can see above in the pictures I posted but took a strip and test yesterday and today and never came up with a faint line didn't show anything

my cycle is abit all over the place but I was bleeding for 3 days at the end of march had intercourse on the 2nd April and it was a week later I started having sore boobs sore back awful cramps in my tummy still do now and again really bad headaches everyday

You can only get a false negative not a false positive

If the three days at the end of March were your period and you've got a standard ish 28 day cycle it's too early to be testing. Wait until it's been at least four weeks since your last period. It's too early for your symptoms to be caused by pregnancy-most women get them from four weeks.

Thankyou for ur advice I was just very confused as I've had all those symptoms and nausea and was just confused when the strips showed faint lines and now nothing I'm also getting also a lot of mucus down below

Not really pregnancy hormones are strongest in the morning.
Like I said you can get false negative but not a false positive

Unfortunately you can get a positive and a few days later it can be negative, due to a chemical pregnancy. It happens when the embryo doesn't implant properly to survive. You may have technically been pregnant for a couple of days before implantation fails.
Test again in a day or two to be sure.
Ovulation strips do pick up on HCG - I found out I was pregnant when I got a strong OPK result and tested on a pregnancy test. It could also just mean you're ovulating though so obviously can't be relied on.

Oh gosh will be so gutted if that's the case I did have hope but not anymore would a pregnancy strip of picked up pregnancy 9 days later?

amy I know it's hard but try and stop testing until your period is due. You will drive yourself mad. Bitter experience.

I am driving myself mad I do one of those strips every morning do u think I could have have had a chemical pregnancy
