Hello Mums,

New here on mumsnet... any tips? what do you love about it? Does anyone have a breakdown of the abbreviations and acronyms mean?

At the top of the page, there is the word TALK in quite big letters. Next to that there is a downward pointing arrow in a circle. Click on that and you will find one of the options is 'acronyms' - that will tell you all you need to know.

I love that MN is such a vast community, there will always be someone to talk to, and you get so many different eye opening opinions on all sorts of things.
It is funny, interesting, helpful, moving and entertaining in equal measures.

If you click on the word TALK, you get a list of all the topics - then all the topics break down into subsections. There's so much you can look at if you have hours to fill. However, you can customise it and hide topics you don't want to see, if you wish.

If you are sensitive, don't ask a question in AIBU - you tend to get rather...ahem... robust replies in there.
When you need support though, you will get wonderful support here.
