relocating from southern California

Hi all - I just joined - relocating to Kensington W8 from the beach in southern California, thinking it will be a bit of a change in scene and weather. My husband and I have a 3-year old girl who loves to sing and dance. Any advice regarding the area (Kensington), kid stuff, living as an expat in London, etc., would be welcome :) cheers!
