Hi. Im a first time mum to a 6 week old little girl and new to mumsnet. I live in Littleover Derby and looking for groups and advice on places to go with my little one to chat to other mums and make new friends .....

Hey burtie190000 I dunno weva I can post it coz it a different site. But if you go on netmums and go on there derby site / board they do a weekly meet up for mums where you can meet other parents and arrange days or nights out. I'm about half hour drive away from littleover so haven't attended any but they always seem very happy for new to people go along. Hope that helps you x

Hi Burtie, there are local pages on Mumsnet http://local.mumsnet.com/find-a-local-site, once you find your area, there are pages for events, groups, and local chat (some of these are more active that others of course).
