Hi I'm new to mumsnet (well been lurking for a while ) wondering if there's a local bit to meet new friends in your area or anything like that? Not sure how it works?

In Talk Topics there's Mumsnet Local and you have to scroll through to find your area.

Sometimes it easier to create a "Any mums in Timbuktoo?" thread in _Chat.

Can you get that on the app? Can't seem to find it. Chat seems like a better idea though thanks

Hi lazymongoose - the Mumsnet Local sites are available on mobile, although currently not as an app. You can always give both MN Local and Chat a go
