I just saw this game over on Wrong Planet and thought it might be fun on here. You just write "you might be autistic/ADHD if.." and then write some funny anecdote about your traits.
I'll start

You might be autistic if as a child you spent a whole day cleaning every copper coin out of the big whisky bottle at home with Brasso, just to make them shine.

You might be autistic if you thought reading the phone book was fun, and the Yellow Pages was even more exciting!

You might have ADHD if the idea of lying down, relaxing and sunbathing in a tropical location with a drink in one hand and a book in the other is... absolute hell!

Also if you leave your front door keys in the lock at least three times a week.

Also if you need to keep a photo of your DH's passport on your phone to remind yourself when his birthday is each year (I know the month, but I can never remember the actual day!).

You might be autistic if as a child you only ever ate one particular food for extended periods of time (I once had a year where I only ate lasagna, breakfast lunch and dinner) and would sudden go off them and wouldn't eat it again until adulthood.

I had the same school lunch every day for at least 3 years lol.

If you’ve pretty much has the same lunch at work for the past 4 years (it’s noodles - no prep needed).

If you found reading The Silmarillion hard because of all the characters and places so you wrote yourself an encyclopaedia (pre-internet days).

Also do the involuntarily mimicking accents thing.

Speaking in Morse code to dad over dinner as a teenager, and then testing dad on Great Western locomotive numbers while he did the washing up and not finding it weird.

The girls at my school though? I thought they were the strange ones..

”You might have ADHD if the idea of lying down, relaxing and sunbathing in a tropical location with a drink in one hand and a book in the other is... absolute hell!”

Or it sounds lovely but the second you lie down, you realise you don’t know where your phone is and jump up to find it! Lie down again and a thought pops into your head that you must write down immediately…jump up again! Lie down again, try to read but are too distracted by everything going on around you and read the same paragraph 100 times. Berate yourself for not enjoying yourself.

Inspired by this: You might be autistic if the idea of lying down, relaxing and sunbathing in a tropical location is much less appealing than a visit to the transport museum half an hour away from your home.

The 'tropical location' would be nerve-wracking with no idea of local customs; added to the ever-present worry that there was something on my three-page spreadsheet that I forgot to do before I went away; and it's impossible to get comfortable lying down anywhere other than my own bed or sofa; so relaxation in those circumstances is really not an option at all!

You might be autistic/ADHD if you have 3 different pieces of electronic equipment on the go but can't stand it if someone else comes in with number 4.

Or if you have to have the TV going at night (with the latest obsession running) so you don't have to lay staring up at the ceiling listening to the fridge/partner breathing/clock ticking or any other random noise that no-one else seems to hear

Love this...and the pylons. 😁

Brown noise, I find, is excellent for drowning out all of that and helping with relaxation.
