Hi all, I've got baby number 2 on the way and I'm thinking about names. I already have a daughter named Samira. We don't want to know the sex of the baby until they're born.

My name preferences are:

Girl:

• Shirin

Boy:

• Raif (pronounced rayf, not ra-ef)
• Faris

Which would you pick, or do you have any other name ideas?

I think Nabila goes nicely with Samira.

Raif is so cute!

Girl: Shirin but: Samia, Sadiya,Saida,Samiha
Boy: Raif is nice but if you wanted the same letter then Sayf or Saif, or Saeed

@Thuraya17 I really like Rafi as a name too and I was thinking of using it, but then I think I found that it's one of the names of Allah, so if I were to sue it as a name id have to use it as 'Abdul Rafi', if you see what I mean. I do like Raif too, but it's quite a popular name atm even among non Muslims and I don't want it to seem passe in a few years time. So I think for a boy, I've landing on Faris.
