Marriage Events at Birkbeck College- anyone been?

I think I’m done with Muzz- creepy men who want to engage in inappropriate chat (probably leading to affairs- not that I’d know as I block them), future fakers, ghosters, lost Peter Pan types, you name it. I’m divorced with DC and would love to find a like minded soul and think I need to be brave and meet potentials in person. With that in mind, has anyone ever attended the events at Birkbeck College in London? There’s one for divorced people coming up and I’m tempted.

I’m at the stage where I’m even willing to consider non-Muslims. I know what the majority ruling is but is it so unfair for women to be left to consider horrible Muslim men vs nice non-Muslim ones?!

I can't comment on the Birkbeck event in particular, but any in-person meet up tends to have a smaller percentage of weirdos than online. Non-Muslim women also suffer from an excess of online weirdos, so don't think widening the net to non-Muslim men will solve that problem.

I have to ask as you were on Muzz whats your relationship with Allah? Are you practicing?

As a practicing Muslim I woups never ever ever go on Muss or any "window shopping".

To meet my DH we met on a introductory service called Pure Matrimony we are both practicing so it suited us. No photos. Just saw his bio he aaw mine. He reaches out for my Walis number literally 3 messages wnd thats it. He spike to my Wali. I joke and say they dated. I had no idea what he looked like. Them after 4 months we met for the first time with my Wali we had 6 meetings with Wali and qe had open phone calls. And got married after 9 months.

Your intention and your relationship with Allah is important. As you are considering non Muslims how is Allah going to help you? If you want to do Hajj can you go with Harram Money? You can but will Allah accept it? 100000000% no. You can get married through Harram ways Muzz match etc etc free mixing but will Allah accept it??? I would never ever play about with my deen including marriage and the rules around free mixing as I want Allahs blessing not curse.

Spend time with Allah and mensing your relationship and revisit marriage when you understand the gravity of the responsibility and how important it is to do things the islamic way with baraka.
