Salaam all,

I have a two year old and am looking for something where I can introduce her to Islam. We go to things like ballet and swimming and it got me thinking that it would be so lovely to have a similar such Islamic class or a play session with an islamic focus.

We already do lots at home (Arabic alphabet puzzles, pray Salah together, practise islamic etiquette, read books etc) and so it's not something home-based I'm looking for. I'm looking specifically in the west London area - When I researched online I saw a fair few things in east London but that is too far to take DD to on a regular basis.

Wsm. Might be good to start at your local mosque? Ours runs quite a few activities for young children but I think it’s normally for children a little bit older.

I was just coming on to say the same as @nomoretreats. Definitely try your local mosque, they’ll have something for you.

Walaikum assalam,
I know this post is a little older, but I thought I’d share in case you’re still looking or if it helps someone else.

I had similar thoughts when my daughter was younger, we were doing a lot at home, but I wanted something with more structure. She’s now in KS3 at Asra Hub, and it’s been a really good fit for us.

They include things like Qur’an recitation, STEM activities, and creative work like poetry and art as part of the curriculum. It’s helped her build confidence, make friends, and stay connected to her deen while learning at home.

Just thought I’d share in case it’s helpful.

Waalaikum Assalam,

It’s wonderful that you want to start your little one on an Islamic learning journey early. In West London, there are a few Islamic weekend schools and play sessions for young children. You might also find helpful resources and guidance on www.suraheyaseen.com
for introducing kids to Islam in an engaging way, including activities, stories, and simple lessons suitable for toddlers.

JazakAllahu khair!
