Fasting after Ramadan

Why do I find it so hard to make up fasts or fast/ have any kind of food regulation outside of Ramadan? Please help me unpick this. Every year when not exempt I find Ramadan fasting itself alhumdullilah easy- don't eat anything for suhoor just water and eat moderately at iftar. But omg it's like all willpower dissolves and I find it really difficult after when trying to make up or do sunna fasts. I know generally I take it easier physically during ramadan/ sense of all doing it together but does anyone else get like this , how do you overcome it?

I have no advice sister as I am the same. I always say I'll make up the fasts in winter when the days are short, yet winters pass by and I always make some excuse. Not today because of this reason or that reason. That may be partly why the fast of shawwal is so praiseworthy. Its hard especially when all the shayateen are released 😦

I dont know but its the same for lots of people. I always say if only I could eat the way I do in Ramadan all year round with regards to type of food I would be much healthier

Yeap same. becuase the shiyateeen are freed and we are bwck to our old habits unfortunately. The beat way to combat this is to do the sunnah. Have the intention do Mondays and Thursdays and the white days.
As we wakenup for Fajr anyway. Just sent alarm a 10mins earlier to enaure we can have some water and dates or something quick. If we are lacking in other areas we will struggle. I.e not waking for Salaht on time then evweything will go down the drain as well.
I was always told set your day around your Salah and you can do anything. And it is very true.
