Asalamu Alaykoum all,
Allah accept our ibbadah this Ramadan anf all our siyam - Ameen.
Wanted to start this thread to share ideas for baked goods and food for Eid.

This year I am making Almond Ghribia, Peanut Ghribia, and Chocolate Ghribia. They are a type of "cookie/biscuit". And Lebanese spinach Fatayer. I like to make a massive batch for the famiky and also to gift as eid presents to others, friends and neighbours to.
Thats all I can manage this year with 2 little ones.

I am happy to share links to similar biscuits if anyone is interested in recipes.
Anyone else baking / cooking for Eid?

Yes please! I have a one year old so doubt I'll be making anything but if it isn't too strenuous...

Walaikum salam and Ramadhan Mubarak!

Those sound delicious - links would be brilliant, thanks.

We've done a 'test run' of choc chip brownies (DC can make the mixture if I set out ingredients and help with measuring and the oven) so we'll probably make more of those, plus some Eid-themed cookies (we've got crescent moon cookie cutter shapes and coloured icing and sprinkles). Mainly going with things DC can make so they feel involved in the meal preparation (plus it doubles as a creative activity). I've also (shamefully) bought some date and berry biscuits and I'll buy some fruit and cream closer to the day!

Similar boat! Plus he has so many food allergies (inc egg and nuts) its actually hard to make things as he wants to join in and egg free version isn’t always great! At this rate it’ll be rice pudding for Eid!

Have you tried plant-based egg substitute in baking etc? It's not an exact substitute but can make things that are edible, iA.
