Farage would have won 93 seats if we had proportional representation

A large proportion of this country voted for Reform. In fact, if we counted actual numbers of votes Farage and his party would now have 93 seats. Even the Tories would have had 155 instead of 122. Fortunately for Labour the system allowed them to gain 412 seats and take the majority. I'm no fan of this Labour government as I don't think they'll be doing Muslims any favours. However, the alternative is scary and a very real prospect in the not so distant future.

It's quite scary. That's several areas of the country I won't feel safe visiting any time soon.

People vote differently when a government is as unpopular as Sunak's was.

They will vote differently if we move to proportional representation.

They’ll win next time under the current system.

That's a rather worrying prospect...

With so many people tactical voting in this election it’s not as simple as just saying how it would have been under PR.

I would have voted differently had we not had FPTP. So would many many others.
