Eid Mubarak everyone! “Taqabbal Allahu minna wa minkum" May Allah accept this from you and from us, ameen. Hope everyone has a lovely day, however you're celebrating. Events in Palestine plus our own situation (nothing serious, just mild illness and exams) means nobody is particularly in the mood to celebrate so it's a quiet one for us. I haven't decorated and gifts have been pared back more than usual, didn't even cross our minds to do mendhi but seeing as we are all home today might put some on if I can remember where I stored it last Eid.
Everyone is still fast asleep but I'd better get them up soon so they can start getting ready for the Masjid, it's bound to be heaving as it's a Sunday and I think the weather will have put lots off going to Eid in the Park. When the kids were small there was so much more excitement and now the DC are all adults/teens it just doesn't feel the same. I'm rambling now - haven't had much sleep and thanks if you're still with me!! Eid Mubarak folks!!
