A thought provoking article from the BBC about being Muslim in India.

I can't bring myself to follow this link at the moment and fully appreciate that I am in a position of privilege to be able to wait until I can bring myself to read it.

I do pray for our Muslim brothers and sisters who are living under that hateful and evil government, that they are kept safe and well.

India is really bad right now, I remember Modi as the butcher of Gujarat. To think he then went on to become PM and may win another term is sickening.
Mob lynching of Muslims in some parts is becoming scarily common with little to no repercussions, especially near the time of Eid al Adha

Modi’s India is horrible. The BJP are the far right. The situation in Kashmir was horrible to begin with but it’s worse now especially as he’s begun a re population plan of areas around J and K.

I am struggling really badly today- just seems like we are everyone’s favourite ‘villain’ if that makes sense, in India/Palsestine/China and the Uyghurs and even here on MN. Feeling really low about it all.

@Elopelo I'm sorry, sister. It is so, so hard right now. I don't know what to say, other than we're all here together so we have each other and we have Allah.

Thank you so much- appreciate it. I’m trying to keep going by thinking that all of this was predicted by the Prophet PBUH. Some days are are really hard like you said- just wish we could solve all the suffering Muslims and indeed others are facing.
