Wedding outfit

Asalamualaikum In Sha Allah you're all doing well.

I have a wedding to go to in June/July and I need an outfit. I've got a frumpy mum body 😩 and I'm looking for something that will be modest and not make me look like some kind of heffalump in. Can anyone recommend any good sites they could recommend I could get something from please and that's budget friendly.

salaams sister. this year the high Street retailers have a lot of nice modest friendly outfits. I quite love the stuff from monsoon...

if you are looking for Asian stuff.... then tbh I am not very well informed.

I personally would try Birmingham if you are nearby so you can try on and see the quality before you purchase.
As I notice some businesses online the pictures look really good but then when the product arrives it ends up being a replica which isn't always nice.
Otherwise I would second monsoon and Asos

One of my cousins wore similar on eid but with feather trim on the sleeves, Same shade as the one you have shown and she looked beautiful mashAllah

They have a 14 day return policy. I didn't want to go for anything extravagant because I'll only be wearing it once otherwise. At least with this I could wear for Eid etc.

Have a look at their website, they have stunning pieces for any occasions and the lady is really nice and great customer service.

It looks lovely on the model and I love the colour. On me, I would be in danger of looking like I'm wearing nightwear though.

If I was you I would definitely give it a try.

😂😂 the facial expressions on that lady's face are something else!

But on a serious note... Honestly we get so caught up with how we we think we look and our so called flaws that realistically no one else emphasizes as much as we do. Having self-confidence is the key and I say this to myself first because I do this to myself all the time too.

@anotherlevel did the outfit come out OK? I'm also looking for a wedding for summer now and might go for something similar

@Parkingt111 it arrived and Alhamdulillah everyone said it looked good on me and complimented my shape. The material is light and thin so good for summer. It was creased when it arrived and tried it on and wasn't wearing any shape wear underneath to do the dress any justice. So I wasn't sure about it. But everyone said it looks good.
