Eid for male muslim partner

RheaRend · 08/04/2024 22:00

With Eid coming up I wanted to do something special for my partner who is muslim. He will not be spending Eid with his family - only his children for part of the day. I wanted to make more of an effort knowing his family will not be around. Any ideas would be appreciated.

Cook him a special dinner from his culture and buy him a gift. New clothes are traditional for Eid.

will he be spending the morning with you? If so, puri halwa and chanai are the traditional breakfast foods we eat. Could you make or buy it for him?

@RheaRend What culture is your partner from OP? I can give you some recipe ideas.

if you like you can go to a local eid fair/party together? usually they take place in mosques or parks

Thank you, I have bought him a few gifts but new clothes is helpful I can add to those gifts with one or two items for him and cooking is an option. I can cook so I'm happy making something with some recipe ideas.

The breakfast is a nice idea, he will have the children in the morning and so I won't be around for that part of the day but it is a nice idea to keep for when we do have the morning together, maybe next time. Thank you.

He is Indian. I've just had a google of the local area and the fair that was planned in his area was cancelled for the weather but there are some events now being put on indoors so that is helpful, thank you.
