Gig advice - Manchester Apollo

Going to scissor sisters gig at Manc Apollo on Monday night. Doors open at 7pm.

What time should we aim to be there? There's a support act, but I want to make sure I've got parking and that we don't miss the main event!

We always aim to arrive at a venue for the time the doors open. we don't llike too much queueing. I like the Appollo as a venue, prefer it when the take the seats up. There are normally long queues for the bar and the ladies, timing is everything and buy 2 drinks.

We've got numbered seats, as my mate recently had a shoulder op.
Do you know what the routine is with parking?

I'd aim for 7 aswell

Any chance you could get the train in? just that getting out afterwards from car parks is horrendous but the apollo is attached to victoria station so much easier to get in and out that way.

second purepurple on the 2 drinks thing!

Train gets us back to Chester really late if we catch any time after 10pm. Don't know what time the concerts ending, going to phone tomorrow when they release details.

There are men directing you to near by carparks. Personally I would park in MCR and get a taxi (very near). It's right next to a ridiculous roundabout which is a nightmare to get past even in quiet times.

The Apollo isn't attached to Victoria - that's the MEN arena. The Apollo is slightly out of the City Centre, you'd probably class it as in Longsight/Ardwick.

Lots of places open up as carparks when there's a gig on so there should be plenty of places to park - definitely get there for 7 and get a nearby space.

ohh yes sequin, how foolish of me, complete mental block! off to search for the d'oh face!

I was there the other week. If you get there for the time the doors open, you should get into the car park outside. And if you don't hang around too much after the gig you'll get out pretty soon. The Apollo has a fairly early curfew, I think, so you won't be too late anyway. If you get there early, get a drink in the pub next door rather than in the Apollo itself. You'll be able to hear when the support band finishes if you drink outside. I like the Apollo.

Its one of my favourite venues, I like the picturehouse too.

Scissor sisters were awesome! Jake always manages to get down to a naked chest look! Enjoy your concert.

I'm off to see Robbie soon ...
