We were thinking of going with DS (3.5) and wondered if anyone had been?

We went last year and it was great.

DS1 was coming up for 5, DS2 2.5.

We rented a caravan and didn't regret it because it was really wet and muddy.

We forgot our wellies (but DSs were fully equipped with waterproof trousers and coats.)

A lot of the work shops were more 6+ but there was story-telling etc. and DS2 just enjoyed the music and running round with the other kids by the side of the main stage.

I liked the size of it, if you based yourselves on the main lawn, there was a kind of enclosed bit (by a hedge) where the DC could play to the side of the stage (so no worries about their ears) and they could run around without bothering anyone.

LOADS of young children (probably because it's free for under fives).

Thanks! We thought we would just go for one night as we are going to Camp Bestival a couple of weeks later - have you been to that? Much bigger, but still family friendly. Will be 28 weeks pg by then, eeek?

Yes Bestival looks bigger, I was worried we would lose the DS at it.

Larmer tree was our first festival.

Not tried Bestival, maybe next year.
