Ronnie James Dio has died.

He lost his battle with cancer today.

Unfortunately I never had the pleasure of seeing the man perform live,but I got so much pleasure from listening to his music.
I had tickets to see him but the concerts were cancelled as he had just been diagnosed with cancer.

What a legend he was and is.

This is sad. I will sit and play Catch The Rainbow a time or two later and remember being 13 and obsessed with Arthurian legends and all that sort of stuff.

It broke my heart when I heard this.
Dh and I had tickets to see him last year and obviously the gig got cancelled.

I listended to this and nearly cried as Dio was full of hope for the future and his plans for later this year.

DH and I had tickets to see him last November and it was cancelled. We then heard the news of the cancer and then in May the news came through that he hadn't made it. I was just so so sad
