cd player or what for 6 year old?

My dd, soon to be 6, bops around in her room listening to her disney tunes, stories etc, on my circa 96 portable cd player with speakers. Any ideas what would be nice (has to be pink or white I'm afraid) to buy her for birthday? Saw a nice cd player for over 60 quid but maybe I should buy her an mp3 for more choice of music, or what? I would love some ideas please, and has to be no more than 60 quid.

i meant to say, saw a pink cd player for 60 quid - did want Hello Kitty but not good quality apparently.

yes thanks, i will look through, but was also wondering whether mp3 player/ipod with speakers would be ok for 5/6 year old, and what would be a good one, rather than buying cds which she tends to get lose/damage.

Yeah, I've been having a look - not too good on mp3 things that aren't iPod related, which is a bit expensive..

DD has this MP3 player. She got it when she was about 6. It has a speaker so you don't have to listen to it with headphones, though it has that option too. We liked it so much that DS has one now as well, though not in pink.
