RIP Mark Linkous (Sparklehorse)

It is with a sad, heavy heart that I pass on details that Mark took his own life yesterday. here is a link to the wiki page

Mark made some outstanding records and was a great musician and a really nice guy. I was fortunate enough to meet him, and still have my signed ticket.

Godspeed Mark and thank you for all you gave us. Be at peace.

I saw the news on Sunday and was gutted, it really made me tearful for some reason, although I was never lucky enough to meet him.

I love Sparklehorse and could never understand why they were not more popular. Mark's voice gives me goosepimples.

Only saw them once but had a fab night.

Very sad.

I never saw Sparklehorse in the 10-plus years since I first heard loved them and now I never will. Poor guy. Everything I've read seems to indicate he was a total gent.

Bob, he was an utterly charming man. He was telling me about his friends putting him on a motorbike before he was out of the wheelchair. It is a great loss.

No words can explain. I just wish him peace and strength to his family and friends.
