I didn't watch much TV as a girl,and lived in South Africa for a bit, so my cultural TV knowledge of this era is a little rubbish, so i need to know popular series from 70s and 80s

I need them hard enough so that people can think, but recognisable as well as not be too depressing

what about the verion of Somewhere Over the rainbow that seems to be on a couple of adverts at the moment.. Its beautiful - but was played at a ten year olds funeral a couple pf weeks ago so reduces me to tears each time I hear it ...x
