pet shop boys - which album to buy

If you buy a comp, PopArt is better and more up-to-date than the admittedly excellent Discography. Of the standalone albums, Behaviour is the one - a wonderful record. It's got the moving, wistful ballad (Being Boring), the laugh-out-loud electro stomper (So Hard), the Broadway-style show stopper (Jealousy). There's much to be said for Introspective as well - the long version of Left To My Own Devices, which might be their best song, as well as I Want A Cat ("Don't want a cat/ Scratching its claws all over my/ Habitat/ Giving no love and getting fat."
