Does anyone know about pianos?

We were given a piano a couple of years ago and just haven't used it, so we thought we would sell it to someone who might use it. Also, we are moving house, so it seems like a good time to sell.

It is a Bluthner 1899 upright. Can anyone tell me how to get a reasonable valuation/the best place to sell it?

Oh Bluthner is lovely. I think you ought to contact your local teaching college, they ought to have a few professional players around who can tell you where to go for advice.

Or you could get in touch with an auction house and they'll send someone round who specialises in instruments, with any luck.
