I grew up listening to him, Dolly Parton,Emmylou Harris,Glen Campbell etc as my mum was a huge country music fan. Mix that with my dad's Pipe band music and folk songs and we ahd quite a wide range of listening in out house

Even though they are country rock The Eagles can't be beaten in my book.
Last time I saw them the Dixie Chicks supported them and they were fab.

Haven't really listened to the Dixie Chicks. Need to do a search on youtube.

DH and I have a "country filter" - there is country pop (dixies etc), country (Dolly Parton etc) and hillbilly (when it a;ll gets a wee bit much with the slide guitar!!)
