Das Liede von der Erde, Wagner/Mahler?

I have their record (EP?). When I was single it was very useful for making people go home when they'd outstayed their welcome

slug · 21/05/2009 10:00

The Everley Brothers. They've since gone on to be covered by many bands (including Thuggs doing Thethelia as Chris Eubank put it ) so they muct have some street cred.

That's spooky, I clicked on the thread to add The Everley Brothers. I feel all superfluous now...

yappybluedog · 21/05/2009 10:06

Doodle2U really?! I did love that song and vividly remember the single cover - it had a pair of surgeon's hands in green gloves

PatTheHammer · 21/05/2009 10:12

Mrsdisorganised My mum seems to have had very similar musical tastes to yours! What year was she born?

Anyway, I have a very secret thing for:

Neil Diamond (seems to be mum's choice on here)
The Carpenters
Abba
Glen Campbell
10CC
Roy Orbison
Simon and Garfunkel
Les Miserables

Luckily My Dad liked The Beatles, The Who, ELO, Thin Lizzy, David Bowie etc

She also inflicted bloody Poldark and the Forsythe saga on me, but thats another story.....

daftpunk · 21/05/2009 10:16

most of the music mentioned on here is pretty good..paul simon/the beatles/neil diamond....can live with that (still love paul simon)....real pain was val doonican and johnny logan....i had it the hardest.

harleyd · 21/05/2009 10:22

i have to admit, we still play all my dads old vinyl...mostly its pretty cool stuff
even the 'captain beaky and his band' 45

PatTheHammer · 21/05/2009 10:25

Captain Beaky!!!! My Dad and his mates once did a boat race dressed as all the characters

mollyroger · 21/05/2009 10:25

''Maaaa-gic, mohhhhhments. when two hearts are...''

DP, I'm sorry, someone on here was forced to listen to pipe bands. They win so far
