Just idly listening to a bit of Nina Simone on Spotify - my other half's choice - but nice and mellow whilst Mumsnetting - heard a fantastic "version" of what I thought was David Bowie's Wild is the Wind - a song that has a lot of fond memories for me and that I think is wonderful. Got me thinking... what a wonderful cover version. But then I thought, IS it a Bowie song? Bit of googling and have found out it ISN'T!! First sang in 1957 (!!!) by Johnny Mathis - I need a lie down.

It's probably one of those ones that everyone else knows about and I am the saddo who finds out last.

Thanks Paisleyleaf for trying to make me feel better - have you actually heard the Johnny Mathis version - I just can't imagine it!
