Gigs you've cried at

I blubbed during Perfect Weather to Fly at the Elbow concert last night - it reminds me of a friend who died recently - and wondered how many of you have done the same thing, or if I'm the only soppy person on here

I've cried at two gigs, the Elbow one and when I saw Sigur Ros years ago in the Lowry in Manchester. I don't know the name of the track but it was so beautiful I cried my eyes out the whole way through.

i've cried at lots of gigs .....Spiritualized at Glastonbury last year (the song that dp and i have as our song)......Jimmy Cliff doing Many Rivers To Cross.......Frank Turner doing Long Live The Queen which has nothing to do with the Queen but is about a friend of his who died of breast cancer.

Music is a very important part of my life, and i have a strong emotional response to it.

I remember snottering my way through Live Forever by Oasis when they played Loch Lomond way back in ... oooh, '95?!

I cried at an Elbow gig last year, I was a mere few weeks post natal though! I also sobbed my heart out at a Guillemots gig at Somerset House when they proposed on behalf of someone in the audience and then played made up love song #43 (or whatever it is!).

I cried at a lambchop gig at somerset house several years ago - the song still makes me blub to this day. It was this song played just as the sun was setting - bliss

Have happy memories from it of me and dh when we started dating - I can remember blubbing to it when dd was a newborn and was trying to settle her in her sling. I also wanted it as our wedding song but knew it would make me blub far too much.

Yes a few times, most memorably at a Ronan concert when he sang Father to son, my FIL had recently died. Again at U2, the sheer emotion of the Unforgettable Fire. Then last week at Snow Patrol during Chasing Cars, it had been played at the funeral of a friends little boy.
I agree, music is very emotional for me, use it to make me laugh or cry.

aww, i LOVE that lambchop song. never seen them live though.

i cried the second time i saw the flaming lips. the first time i saw them i was pregnant, but found out the next day that i'd miscarried. the second gig made me think of my wee yoshimi baby

Cried at Manic Millennium, during Design for Life, I've seen them 30 odd times and they've only made me cry once.
Almost cried at Frank Turner doing Long Live The Queen last time I saw him, but I held it in. That song does make me cry if I'm feeling a bit fragile though.

Elton John at the begining when he sang circle of life

(Disclaimer: took my mum, seen lots of questionable artists while being a dutiful daughter)
