Thinking of getting tickets for Imelda May and she's playing there. I'm a sarf londoner so it's bit of a trek. Is it a good venue? Looked at some pictures on their website and it looks great. How does it work with the different levels? Does your ticket allow access to all? Do the bars get heaving?

It's not bad- it's the old Camden Palace [shows age]!

But the last time I went there was to see Art Brut, and the balcony was shut, as it wasn't that full, so can't help you with the capacity!

Yes - I did realise it was the old Camden Palace, but I know it's had a refurb. I remember going there in the early 80s which was BIG excitement and trying to spot Steve Strange and his posse. Don't think they had such a thing as VIP areas in those days - much more egalitarian! See I'm showing my age too!

Anyone else been there recently?

Horrible sightlines, horrible sound, horrible queues at the bar, horrible trying to get out. Capacity is 1100. It's general admission - you go where you want.
