Did you see the BBC4 Clash night - clearly they took no passengers ..poor old Topper Headon!!
DH has just orderd Sandinista on CD - finally those NEctar points came in useful.

DH's hero, I've only got him one present apart from food or drink & it's a Julien Temple film about him.

He met him once after T in The Park years ago, made his life night.

R.I.P. Joe. He was a hero of my brothers and inspired him to get into music. I believe he was a lovely man.

I never really got into The Clash, although they were clearly legends.

I love Coma Girl though.

Saw The Clash live.

Sort of.

..it was the last tour, after Mick Jones had left. In truth they were not very good, though the support Billy Bragg was splendid.

....my now 9 year old once successfully requested 'Rock the Casbah' at a pre-school disco.

He also came with me to football game, just after Joe Strummer's death, where 'Should I Stay Or Should I Go' was played over the tannoy in honour.

He sobbed.

'Daddy' he said 'Does this mean we can't listen to the Clash anymore?'
