ok, so these are my very fave bands/artists in order thru my yoof, what were yours ?

11-13 The Police
13-16 The Jam
16-17 Simple Minds
18-20 The Smiths
21-22 Soul II Soul, De La Soul hip hop
23-26 Stone Roses, Pulp, Oasis, brit pop
27-30 Lee perry, old reggae, dub

from then on loads i can't exactly pinpoint, as
a, i met (ex dh) and we stayed in alot in bed!!
b, was quite stoned (see 'a')

c, had dd and lost my was

but they are the main ones form my younger days. i am now 39!!

26-36 - mostly looking back to the eighties and complaining about Morrissey's solo albums

37 - 38 The Feeling
Now at 38 Most of the above but mainly Hole atm

we nearly the same age, it's fun to see and be reminded of other bands.

i forgot to say, in a pretentious way, they one of my faves when i was little was Simon and Garfunkel

and yes i still listen to all the ones i said about again and again. Sometimes tho i have to find them online cos most of it's on vinyl!!

11-13 - Wham - Duran Duran - Madonna
13-16 - got very into mowtown music
16-18 - the La's, Stone Roses, Inspiral Carpets
18-19 - Very into pop music
20's - Pulp, Oasis, Elastica, Garbage, Smashing Pumkpins.
30's - smudge of all of the above..

Oh I loved The Las and The Inspirals - and I forgot one of my greatest faves from about 18 to about 24 - The Wedding Present.

10ish - ABBA

11ish - Blondie

12ish - Rolling Stones, Clash, Pistols (DB's record collection)

14 - Marvin Gaye, Stax, Staple Singers and Prince and every band/artist connected to him.

16 - Still Prince, Cyndi Lauper. Hip Hop.

I'm now 40 and still listen to all of these as well as everything else apart from Coldplay/Winehouse/Kylie and shite like them.

16-18 - Pulp, Oasis, Blur, Indie-Pop !!!
18-19 - the same
20's - Fun Lovin Criminals, Blur and Oasis, The Smiths, Bob again, Kasabian, The Kooks, many others kind of the same...
30 - I don't get to listen to hardly anything except bloody lazytown or milkshake...boo hooo hoo hoo .....

BUT

dd has been educated in my music, and loves all the stuff i like. esp the White Album (poncetastic taste)!!! I am currently getting her into the Jam!

15-21 - Metallica, Rammstein, Guns N Roses, HIM, Type O Negitive, For My Pain.

21-Present - The 69 Eyes, Emilie Autumn, The Birthday Massacre, Moonspell,Sonata Artica, Deathstars, Hannah Fury, Paradise Lost.

At the moment I seem to be heading towards more Darkwave stuff, eg Hannah Fury, Emilie Autumn and the like.
